A man is in hospital today after a late night blaze at a north-east home.
Emergency services were called to the scene of the fire at Sandend near Banff at around 1am.
Four engines from Portsoy, Cullen, Banff and Buckie were in attendance along with a incident support van.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: “About 1am today, Police Scotland were made aware of a fire within a house at Seaview Road, Sandend, Banff.
“Four Scottish Fire and Rescue Service appliances attended the scene along with Scottish Ambulance Service and Police.
“One man has been taken to hospital in Aberdeen. His condition is not considered to be serious at this time.
!The fire has been extinguished and no other properties have been affected.”
