A mum who won an overnight stay at a 5-star St Andrews hotel in the latest Elegance Magazine competition said the trip will be “really special”.
Laura Craddock, 43, has secured a night at the decadent Fairmont St Andrews resort, complete with an exclusive Savoy afternoon tea.
While enjoying her stay at the 212-room hotel, the NHS Grampian clinician will be able to indulge in some rest and relaxation at the facility’s spa, complete with 52 foot pool, and dine at one of its many restaurants, including the La Cucina Mediterranean-style eatery, and the St Andrews Bar and Grill, where she will be able to sample some of the finest steak and seafood Scotland has to offer.
Mrs Craddock, from Stonehaven, said: “I absolutely love St Andrews, it’s one of my favourite places to go and I always tend to have a wee visit in the summer because my kids love the beach, and we love all the cafes and shops.
“We stayed at the Fairmont once before a very long time ago, and we very much enjoyed our stay there, so I can’t wait to go back.
“The facilities there are amazing, it’s got a lovely spa and pool, and the food is good too – it’s located perfectly as well, it’s got great views and it’s very close to St Andrews.”
Mrs Craddock said that she has been reading the Press and Journal for years, and particularly looks forward to Saturdays to read supplements like Elegance Magazine.
She added: “I hardly ever enter competitions, but I just wanted to enter this one because I knew how incredible a stay at the Fairmont would be.
“I’ve been reading the Press and Journal for who knows how many years.
“I make sure I always get it on a Saturday to get the supplements, which I always enjoy.
“I can’t wait to enjoy my stay in St Andrews, it’s going to be a really special day and I’m looking forward to really treating myself.”
