Police have appealed for witnesses to come forward after a number of parking meters across Aberdeen were broken into.
Officers say thousands of pounds were stolen after machines were raided in locations throughout the city centre.
The parking meters were all targeted between midnight and 2am on Sunday, July 30.
Machines in Spa Street, Bon Accord Crescent and Nelson Street were affected but officers have urged anyone who may have seen suspicious activity across the city centre area to get in touch.
Enquiry officer PC Gillian McPake said: “We are appealing to anyone who may have seen suspicious activity to contact us on 101 – or to remain anonymous, contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 quoting incident CF0220870717.”
A spokeswoman for Aberdeen City Council confirmed wardens remain on the lookout for suspicious activity but said no further instances have been reported.
She added: “All thefts have been reported to Police Scotland for investigation.
“City Wardens are on the lookout for any suspicious activity and we would encourage anyone to report any suspicious activity to the police.”
