Motorists are being warned about a fortnight of disruption as water works close one lane of the A90 in Aberdeen.
From Monday, temporary traffic lights will be in use on the city’s Parkway between the Whitestripes Avenue roundabout and the junction with Balgownie Road.
Scottish Water says the signals will be manually controlled and only in operation between 9.30am and 3.30pm in order to keep traffic moving.
The water mains work is expected to be completed by April 30.
Joanna Peebles from Scottish Water said: “The traffic management will be removed every day after 3.30pm and the road will then be fully reopened until 9.30am the following day.
“By carrying out this work after morning rush hour and before the evening commute home, we hope to cause minimum disruption for customers in the area.
“Throughout the work there is not expected to be any impact on the water supply for customers.
“We thank customers and road users for their patience as this essential work on the water network is carried out in the coming weeks.”
