A woman who worked at Aberdeen and Grampian Chamber of Commerce for 50 years has received a BEM for her service.
Isabel Grant, 68, from Kemnay, was a finance assistant until her retirement two years ago.
Now she has been honoured with a BEM for services to the Aberdeen business community.
She said she was “over the moon” and added: “It’s come as a complete surprise – I’m very honoured.
“My husband Frank is as delighted as I am – I had to tell somebody.”
Mrs Grant will be presented with her medal by the Lord Lieutenant and will also receive an invite to a garden party at Holyrood Palace next year.
She added: “It’s certainly something to look forward to.”
