A vintage north-east football shirt has made its way to an impoverished African country.
The Fraserburgh FC top made the 6,000 mile trip and was handed to a young refugee girl in Uganda.
Ally Ruane, who grew up in Fraserburgh, gave the 10-year-old away shirt to his photographer friend Simon Murphy as a gift for children he would meet on his trip last month.
The red tartan shirt was worn by the Bellslea Park side during their 2008/09 Highland League season.
It was among a collection of football attire Mr Ruane handed over in the hope it would provide some joy.
Mr Ruane said: “He (Mr Murphy) told me he was going to Uganda for work so I asked him if I could give him some football tops I had lying around to give to any kids that he may meet.
“I had that red tartan Fraserburgh top and I thought some unfortunate kid would love to have a tartan football top from Scotland and maybe bring a smile to a face.

“As you can see in the pictures they all love the football tops.”
Mr Ruane now lives in Lanarkshire and bought the Broch top while on a visit home with his wife more than a decade ago.
There were also t-shirts from Rangers, Everton, Real Madrid, Barcelona and an Argentina outfit with Lionel Messi’s name printed on the back.
Mr Murphy, a photographer and lecturer at Glasgow Kelvin College, said the shirt certainly brought a smile to the 10-year-old who was gifted it.
He said: “I met a young girl, Edea Iren in the Palorinya refugee camp close to the border with South Sudan.
“She wanted to be in some of my pictures and when I gave her the Fraserburgh shirt as a thank you she couldn’t hide her joy.
“Football is a universal language and anywhere I go in the world I can connect with people through it.”
