A defibrillator has been installed at a north-east school following a successful fundraising drive.
The life-saving device in Crimond has been purchased after one of the village’s groups collected the cash necessary for it.
Crimond Area Tenants and Residents Association (Catra) secured the £2,500 for the new equipment.

They raised some of the money for the defibrillator but also received donations from the SSE Resilience Fund, Banff and Buchan tractor and engine club and Crimond School.
Catra chairwoman Julie Pickering unveiled the machine during a short ceremony at the Logie Road primary yesterday.
She said: “We started raising funds last April and by September we had enough money for it. Now we are working with the ambulance service to arrange training, so that people know what to do in the event of an emergency.
“We decided to put in the school so people can get to it 24 hours a day. We are very pleased with it.”
“Defibrillators are very popular at the moment and I hope this one can help save some lives.”
A defibrillator is a device that gives a high-energy electric shock to someone who is in cardiac arrest.
It is an essential step to save a life before the emergency services arrive.
