Discount chain Savers has submitted plans to open a new store in Aberdeen city centre.
It has asked the city council for permission to build at the former Poundstretcher on Union Street.
The application includes the replacement of its front doors and windows, and the construction of a basement office at the C-listed property.
A statement from property design firm Cube said: We do not feel the works will negatively impair the existing street scene nor the adjoining units.
“The proposed treatment of the shopfront will enhance the existing property.”
