Drivers are reporting tailbacks on the stretch of north-east road.
The delay is caused by a broken down van on the A96 between Kinellar and Denhead at the Broomhill roundabout.
It is understood the tailbacks stretch from five to six miles.
The broken down vehicle is partially blocking the road
Traffic heading north is most affected and is moving very slowly.
