Fire crews sealed off part of a north-east village as they tackled a fire in a boat shed.
Four appliances were called to a three-storey premises at Macduff Harbour shortly before 10.30am this morning and spent more than an hour getting the incident under control.
A spokeswoman for the service said: “The call was received at 10.26am and we received the stop message at around 11.54am.”
Crews from Macduff, Banff, Portsoy and Aberchirder used a variety of equipment to tackle the flames including breathing apparatus, and two hose reel jets.
The firefighters closed the road while the effort was ongoing.
Police were called to the scene to help direct any traffic away from the building, but it is understood the fire is not being treated as suspicious.
A spokeswoman for the force said: “At around 10.40am we were called to reports of a fire on Union Road, in Macduff.
“We were there to assist with road traffic management. The road was closed for around two hours and reopened at 12.45pm.”
Troup Councillor, Mark Findlater, praised the emergency services for “responding very quickly”.
