Pensioner hit by car in Aboyne

A pensioner was taken to hospital yesterday after being hit by a car in Aboyne.

The 89-year-old woman was knocked down in the car park of the Co-op on the village’s Old Mart Road.

She suffered minor injuries and was taken to hospital.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the accident, which happened at about 4.40pm.

They are particularly keen to speak to the male driver of a blue car, who was wearing a striped shirt and glasses.
