Pedestrian hit by car in Aberdeen

A pensioner has been taken to hospital after a collision with a car on an Aberdeen street.

The accident, involving a 65-year-old man and a silver Renault Scenic, happened on the city’s Bedford Place at shortly after 10am.

A spokeswoman for the Scottish Ambulance Service, said one ambulance had attended the incident.

She added: “We took a casualty with a head injury to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.”

A police spokeswoman said his injuries were minor.
