Car left on its side after Aberdeenshire accident

A car was left on its side and its occupants trapped inside it after an accident in Aberdeenshire.

Police were called at 12.15am when a grey Peugot Partner MPV landed on its side following an accident on the B979 Netherely road near the Lairhillock Inn.

Five minutes later at 12.20 the police team arrived and freed a man and a woman from the vehicle.

They were described by the Scottish Ambulance service as having no serious injuries, and the road was not blocked.
