Thousands of people took to the streets of the Granite City as the Queen’s cortege started its final journey to Edinburgh.

Residents lined the pavements of Peterculter, Milltimber, Bieldside and Cults as the coffin travelled into Aberdeen city centre.

The crowds grew in numbers as the hearse slowly made its way down Great Western Road, past the Duthie Park and over the King George VI Bridge.
