At least four police vans and four cars, as well as a dog unit are currently pursuing an individual around an area of Aberdeen.
The police teams were first spotted just after 12pm chasing the individual around the Lang Stracht and Whitemyres Avenue area of the city.
A number of residents have taken to the streets to watch the chase develop but it is currently unknown why the police are attempting to catch the individual.
UPDATE: The individual, who was confirmed to be a man, has now been caught by police officers.
A police spokeswoman said: “Police Scotland were executing a warrant for an individual who was wanted in the Whitemyres area.
“There was a short foot pursuit and the individual has now been detained.
“There was no impact to the wider community.”
