One set of Harry fans were so excited about his visit they sneaked out of a lecture to catch a glimpse of him.

And one even revealed she still harboured hopes of becoming his princess.

Nursing students Ruth Ferguson, Alana Scaresbrook and Grace Duncan broke off their studies when Prince Harry arrived to get the chance to spot him.

Miss Ferguson, 20, said it was the greatest day of her life.

She said: “We sneaked out of the lecture and sprinted along the hall to make sure we could see him.

“As soon as I saw them, I broke down and cried, I was so happy.

“I knew he was going to the skatepark later on, but was told we wouldn’t be allowed anywhere near him, which was upsetting because I genuinely want him to be my husband.

“So when I found out he was at my university it was the greatest news I could ever hear.

“This genuinely has been a dream come true for me, it’s the best day of my life.

“I just worry that if we had children our babies would be just be too ginger.”

The girls were among hundreds of enthusiastic fans of the prince who followed him around the Sir Ian Wood building on his tour of RGU, taking as many selfies as possible and trying to get even just a few seconds with the with the popular royal.

Miss Scaresbrook, 21, said: “It was so exciting, I can’t believe we’ve actually seen him.

“We’ve all loved him forever, ever since we were little.”
