Police are investigating after thousands of pounds was stolen from an Aberdeen bookies last night.
Thieves raided the Coral bookies shop at Cornhill Shopping Arcade on Foresterhill Road around 9.40pm on Thursday night.
Officers stood guard outside the premises overnight and a manhunt has been launched this morning to find the thieves.
The bookmakers store remains shut this morning.
It is not yet know how much money was taken – but the figure is believed to be in the thousands.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “A sum of money was stolen from Coral bookies last night in Cornhill, Aberdeen.
“We are looking at potentially thousands of pounds, but the figure has yet to be confirmed.”
