Police are appealing for witnesses to a “disgraceful” theft of purses which took place during a Remembrance Sunday event in Aberdeen at the weekend.
More than £100 was taken between 2pm and 2.30pm yesterday while a ceremony was taking place at the Aberdeen Sea Cadets facility at Pocra Quay.
Inspector Carron McKellar said: “This is a disgraceful incident which has left the victims shocked and upset.
“We are urgently appealing to anyone who may have seen anything suspicious or has any knowledge to contact us on 101.
“It is understood that the suspect entered the building while visitors were in another part of the building and took the money.
“Nothing else has been taken.”
