An Aberdeen Western Peripheral Route worker was banned from the road yesterday after being caught driving a vehicle at more than three times over the legal alcohol limit.
Alin Tulbure, from Stonehaven, admitted to driving a car on Riverside Drive in the city on March 6 with 68 micrograms of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath.
The legal limit is 22 micrograms.
Sheriff Malcolm Garden sentenced Tulbure, who has worked on the Aberdeen bypass project, to 18 months of disqualification from driving and a £600 fine.
