A man has been charged after allegedly exposing himself to children at an Aberdeen primary school.
The pupils were understood to have been in the playground when the incident occurred at around 3.40pm on Friday, outside Walker Road School in Torry.
Police confirmed they had received initial reports of a suspicious male inappropriately exposing himself.
He was later traced and detained and will appear in court today in connection to the allegations.
Ward councillor Catriona Mackenzie said: “The alleged incident on Friday will be extremely concerning for parents of pupils at Walker Road primary.
“Schools should be a safe place for children and staff, and whilst a report of this kind is rare, it is still extremely upsetting and distressing.
“Torry is a very family-centred community and any kind of lewd or inappropriate behaviour is not welcome here.
“It is clear that, on Friday, police officers in the area acted quickly to attend to this inquiry, and I appreciate their actions to keep Torry safe.”
