Plans for the Aberdeen bypass were first put on the table around 70 years ago.

Transport Scotland announced last week another major milestone in the project with 1,000 of 1,183 beams now in place along the route.
The national body said they were confident that the bypass would be completed on schedule with opening set for this winter.
