Police are hunting a gang who assaulted a man on an Aberdeen street this evening.
Emergency services were called to a stretch of Great Northern Road near a Poundstretcher store following reports of the attack at about 6.30pm.
The man suffered a cut to the head, but police said the injury was not serious and that an ambulance was called to attend only as a precaution.
A spokesman for the force said that officers are now scouring the area in a search for the “number of others” who carried out the attack.
He said: “The male has been assaulted by a number of other people, and suffered a cut to his head.
“This appears to have taken place outside a Poundstretcher store, and the individuals responsible made off afterwards.
“Police are presently searching the area for them.”
