A man is expected to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court tomorrow after being charged in connection with an alleged assault involving a ‘Joker’ costume.
A 20-year-old man was seriously injured after allegedly being attacked by a person dressed as the villain from Batman.
The attack happened on October 28 at Langstane Place, Aberdeen.
Police said a 24-year-old man has been charged in connection with the city-centre assault.
Constable Eamonn Ryan, of the divisional alcohol violence reduction unit – which led the investigation – said: “Our initial appeal generated significant interest and I would like to thank those who assisted and got in touch with information.
“Violence in any form will never be tolerated and tackling violent behaviour and the devastating consequences it can have is a priority for North East Division. We work closely with our partners and licensed premises to prevent incidents from occurring in the first instance, and to bring offenders to court if the worst should happen.
