Fire crews tackle blaze at city garage

Fire crews have extinguished a blaze at a garage in Aberdeen.

They were called to the standalone building on Kingswells’ Skene Road at 1.48pm.

On arrival, firefighters described the garage, which is approximately 80sq ft, as “well alight.”

They used two hose reel jets to put out the flames and damp down the scene, sending a stop message to the control room at 2.11pm.

No-one is thought to have been injured.

Crews they remained at the scene for around half an hour more to remove some of the contents of the garage.
