Organisers of the north-east’s pride parade have received a £10,000 lottery boost.
Aberdeen-based Four Pillars has been awarded the sum from the Awards for All Fund to support the new Grampian Pride being held in the city on May 26.
The charity provide support for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) people in the city and surrounding areas.
Four Pillars are founding partners in the new event, alongside Grampian Regional Equality Council and Pink Saltire.
Hollyoaks actress Annie Wallace will lead the parade along Union Street and singer-songwriter Sandi Thom has been confirmed to headline on stage.
Four Pillars founder Deejay Bullock said: “We are thrilled to have received this support.
“By securing funding, such as that from the National Lottery, we are able to ensure that participation in pride activities are free and open to all, including a free parade and free entertainment.”
