Spectra, Aberdeen’s festival of light, gets underway today with Union Terrace Gardens transformed into a giant playground.
The centre of the site is home to illuminated musical see-saws which change colour and generate noise as people bounce up and down on them for the fourth outing of Spectra.
There is another 15 installations in the area and His Majesty’s Theatre is converted into a giant projection telling the story of Orpheus and Euridyce.
Spectra opens to the public tonight at 6.30pm and runs until this Sunday.
