Several play parks have been revamped as part of a major refurbishment programme to improve facilities for children in the city.
The works were completed at Persley Court and Oldtown Terrace just before the start of Easter break giving families the chance to enjoy the new equipment during the holydays.
Swings at Duthie Park have now been upgraded and the fencing has come down at Devenick Place.
Councillor John Wheeler, Aberdeen City Council operations delivery convener said: “We know how much fun the youngsters, and adults they take with them, have with the refurbished play parks around the city so I’m delighted more have been completed for the Easter break.
“Several of the contractors involved made a huge effort to get the sites complete so the children could enjoy the new equipment while they’re off school.
“I hope the weather will improve for the rest of the Easter holidays but in any case, I’m sure our city’s youngsters will make excellent use of the play parks in the coming months and years.”
The Duthie Park swings were scheduled to be finished before the start of the holidays however there was a delay of a week after wet and snowy weather.
The refurbishments are part of a rolling programme which started in 2013 with works being spread out across the city.
A total of £1.3million is being spent refurbishing play parks in 2017/18.
