A north-east teenager has confessed to a string of thefts from properties and cars in Aberdeen.

Conor Parkinson first struck overnight on March 4 when he targeted a garage on Desswood Place and made off with a bike.

The owner later realised it was missing and reported it to the police.

The bike in question was found by officers at a later date.

Parkinson also stole items from two cars and attempted to break into a property on Spital Walk on March 28.

Two people were in the property in question and realised they had been broken into and called the police.

Officers circulated a description and discovered him in the passenger’s seat of a car.

Parkinson was found with a number of stolen items including a barbour jacket, car keys, house keys and a dash cam.

The 18-year-old, a prisoner of Polmont Brightons, confessed to the offences during an appearance in Aberdeen Sheriff Court yesterday.

Fiscal depute John Richardson told the court all the items had been recovered and there was no damage.

Sheriff Jack Brown deferred sentence on Parkinson in order to obtain reports.

He will return to court later this month.
