A building firm has been given consent to build 85 new homes and create three shops on the new Countesswells housing estate in Aberdeen.
Countesswells Development Limited and CHAP Homes submitted the application for a nearly four acre plot within the development.
CHAP is now the fourth developer to build homes on the site, alongside Stewart Milne Homes, Kirkwood Homes and Barratt Homes.
Construction should begin in September, with sales expected from December 2018 and the first residents likely to move in early next year.
Phased in over 15 years, Countesswells will ultimately accommodate 7,000 people in 3,000 new private and affordable homes.
Approximately 160 families are already living on the site in the first neighbourhood, Regency Place.
