Council chiefs are “looking into” accusations of a boozy party at an Aberdeen housing office.
A council source said the incident happened at the start of the month at Tillydrone housing office as part of an unofficial retirement party.
But the source branded the boozing bosses as “hypocrites” alleging that workers had been told drinking alcohol on site was “not acceptable” in emails.
They said: “I was not going to let it go by since it is a such a big thing in the council and anyone who was caught drinking would have been fired – yet lots of bosses were there and suddenly it’s all okay.
“Of course, the person who was leaving may have said she would take the blame for all the alcohol, after all she has now left the council and cannot be fired.
“But she cannot take the blame for staff who were working or supposed to be working, drinking the alcohol, that is down to the individual and their line manager.”
A council spokesman said: “We are aware of this allegation and we are looking into the matter.”
