There were smiles all round as renowned musician Jools Holland stopped by an Aberdeen pizza restaurant this evening.
The Radio 2 and Later… with Jools Holland star swung by Carmine’s on Union Terrace ahead of his performance in the Granite City.
Staff at the restaurant, which opened 31 years ago, posted about the A-lister’s visit on social media.
They wrote: “We had a very special customer in to see us today”
Holland arrived in Aberdeen earlier today ahead of a performance at the AECC.
He is playing the exhibition centre stage with his Rhythm and Blues Orchestra and Soft Cell frontman Marc Almond – who he recorded an album with earlier this year.
A car crashed into the front of the restaurant in July, smashing its large window.
But despite the damage, which has since been repaired, owners Carmine and Jess Scarpellino vowed to keep serving customers – as they have done for decades.
