An Aberdeen tuition centre is urging people to pull on their festive footwear to raise funds for Children’s Hospices Across Scotland (Chas).
Explore Learning will be holding its annual Christmas fundraiser on Friday, with more than 100 children and members of staff slipping into sparkly shoes, socks and even Christmas slippers.
All money raised will go towards the national children’s hospice service.
Laura Goodwin, regional manager at Aberdeen Explore Learning, said: “We have been supporting Chas for four years and we’re delighted to get involved with Festive Footwear Friday and support local families who desperately need our help this Christmas.
“We’re extremely passionate about connecting with local families and were fascinated to learn about the amazing work that Chas does, not only as Scotland’s only children’s hospice provider, but with their Chas at Home work, supporting families in homes and hospitals across Aberdeen.”
Chas currently cares for 46 children with life-shortening conditions and their families across the Grampian region.
Emma Moore, Chas community fundraiser said: “There are currently 15,400 children in Scotland with life-shortening conditions and we’re on a mission to reach them all.
“Taking part in Festive Footwear Friday is easy and will help us with our ambitious target.”
