Police were drafted in to guide motorists into Aberdeen International Airport today after a power cut struck the traffic lights leading to the site.
The blackout, which affected parts of the airport building along with the lights on the junction between Dyce Drive and Airport Road, occurred at about 8am and caused disruption for hours.

A police spokeswoman confirmed that officers attended in order to safely guide motorists past the busy spot.
Shortly after noon, the airport announced that engineers had managed to resolve the problem.
A spokeswoman stressed that the main terminal had not been affected, with no impact to departing or arriving flights.
