A man appeared in court yesterday accused of causing the death of three people by driving dangerously on an Aberdeenshire road.
Marin Rachev, 34, made a brief appearance in private at Aberdeen Sheriff Court following the tragedy on the A90 Aberdeen to Dundee road.
The two men and woman, who have not yet been named, were passengers in the Renault Megane when the collision with a bus and another car happened on Tuesday afternoon.
Rachev, whose address was given as no fixed abode, was remanded in custody following the hearing yesterday.
He made no plea and his case was continued for further examination.
The collision involved two other vehicles, a Citylink coach and a silver Ford B Max.
The two men and woman who died in the collision were believed to be foreign nationals.
The driver and passenger travelling in the silver Ford B Max were also taken to Aberdeen Royal infirmary and their injuries were described as “not life threatening”.
