Police close city centre road after car overturns onto roof following two-vehicle crash in Aberdeen

North Esplanade West is currently closed following two-vehicle collision in Aberdeen.

The incident, involving a grey Peugeot 207 and a black Nissan Qashqai, happened at around 3.40pm today.

One of the cars has turned onto its roof.

A spokesman said: “The crash happened on the junction of North Esplanade West and Raik Road.

“Ambulance staff are on site however the driver of the over turned car appears to be unhurt.”

Diversions are in place down Russell Road.

UPDATE 6.22PM:

Police have confirmed the road is now open.
