An Aberdeen electricity substation has been transformed into a giant, colourful boombox after the local community collaborated with an international artist.
Pupils at Kittybrewster School teamed up with older members of the local community and Argentinian artist Patricio Forrester to give a new lease of life to the building at Woodside Medical Centre.
A grant for the project was awarded to the pupils through the city council’s U Decide event for Tillydrone, Woodside and Seaton.
Deputy head teacher Samara Mcintyre said the youngsters were “really excited” about the mural, which they also helped to plan.
Mr Forrester, of the international art group Art Mongers, said: “We work with children and older people and we started a creative process where we work together on ideas and designs.
“It’s all about public art and public engagement, looking to create an icon in the community that people can be proud of having created”.
