Signalling issues at Stirling are causing delays to trains travelling to and from the north of Scotland to Glasgow.
UPDATE: Engineers have fixed the fault and normal services will resume although this will take some time.
Train tickets are now being accepted by FirstBus East between Edinburgh and Stirling and between Alloa and Dunblane.
🧰@NetworkRailSCOT have rectified the fault and services are returning to normal. It may take some time to get trains back in line, so in the meantime, we've got ticket acceptance in place with FirstBus East between Edinburgh and Stirling also between Alloa and Dunblane.

ScotRail took to social media clarify that they are currently unable to signal trains into and out of some platforms having a knock off effect to Aberdeen and Inverness trains.
The cause of the issues is still unknown but Network Rail engineers are on their way to the site.
