Residents of an expanding Aberdeen community are being urged to give their views on a new school for the area.

A public consultation on the proposed new primary in Countesswells will be held on Wednesday at the Stewart Milne sale office at Regency Place.

This event will be a drop in exhibition and will be staffed by members of the design team and Aberdeen City Council.

Attendees will have a chance to view the proposals and to provide feedback through comment forms and face to face with officers.

Countesswells is a rapidly expanding new community in the city  and the 3,000 planned homes are being built by Countesswells Development Limited, part of the Stewart Milne Group.

Local councillor Martin Greig urged anyone interested to go along to the event.

He said: “This is a new school for a new community so there is an excellent opportunity to ensure that parents are involved in designing the new building.

“It will be good to see as many as possible at the exhibition. This should be aimed at being a first step in establishing good relationships.

“Parents and families should be listened to and consulted all through this process of creating a new place of learning for the area.”
