The Aberdeen Art Fair will be held this weekend and will be free to visit for the first time.
This year marks the ninth event and will take place from August 30 to September 1.
After four years of being held at other locations, the fair takes place at the refurbished Music Hall and, for the first time in its history, has free entry throughout the weekend.
One of the artists exhibiting in the Hall will be Jane Bradford who creates her works at JB Studio and Gallery in Newburgh.
Born and raised in Peterhead, she went on to study drawing and painting at the Edinburgh College of Art followed by a masters in European Fine Art in Winchester and Barcelona before returning to live and work in the north-east.
This year, her work will be different to what she usually exhibits.
She said: “In contrast to the flat open beaches of the north-east which inspired my work last year, I wanted to go for the sculptural rocks and cliffs which we also have in abundance here in the north-east.
“My new collection of paintings for the Art Fair is inspired by trips to many rocky coastal locations from Cullen to the Bullers of Buchan, round to Slains Castle and Collieston and down as far as Dunnottar Castle.
“I’ve found some spectacular bits of our coastline that I didn’t even know were there, some real hidden treasures.
“I have used this new subject matter to explore and experiment with dramatic composition, muted and bright colours and expressive mark-making.”
The fair will be open on Friday from 6pm to 9pm, Saturday from 10am to 5.30pm and on Sunday from 10am to 5pm.
