A jealous boyfriend launched a vicious attack on his pal after accusing him of “looking at” his girlfriend – then ordered the man to use his own T-shirt to mop up his blood.
Jordan Rae left his victim with a broken nose, two broken ribs and a punctured lung, then apologised by saying he “just gets angry”.
The 22-year-old appeared at Aberdeen Sheriff Court yesterday and admitted assaulting the man, leaving him with severe injuries and a permanent scar.
His victim had been invited to a property at Sauchiewood Cottages, Mintlaw, on April 26, where Rae and two women were enjoying an evening in with drinks.
Fiscal depute Colin Neilson said: “At around 8.50pm the accused became aggressive towards the man, accusing him of looking at his girlfriend.
“He punched him to the head between five and 10 times – and one punch caused a laceration above his left eye, which was bleeding heavily.
“The accused said sorry, stating that he just gets angry. But afterwards, he continued to punch him to the head repeatedly.
“The accused then told the man to remove his T-shirt to clean up the blood.
“He did this and, once wearing a clean T-shirt, he ran out of the locus without a pair of shoes.”
Rae, who is serving time at HMP Grampian for a separate offence, then stood at the doorway shouting threats as his victim fled the property. He will be sentenced next month.
