The owner of a popular Aberdeen cafe has vowed to find “the right person” to buy his business, as he places it on the market.
Craig Willox opened Books And Beans 16 years ago in the city’s Belmont Street – but is stepping back to spend more time with his family.
The 49-year-old has three sons and feels now is the right time to sell up.
Mr Willox told the Evening Express: “It was a very difficult decision to sell Books and Beans.
“The whole driver behind this decision was that my family are getting older and I do not want to be looking back in 10 years and be thinking what I could have done.
“Books And Beans has been a huge commitment over the last 16 years and it has been a great experience. There are so many regulars who are really good.
“I will leave with a lot of good memories.”
He added: “It is scary because I’ve never done anything like this before.
“Hand on heart, I’m really not sure what I’m going to do next.
“But I want to be there a bit more for my kids.”
Mr Willox says there has already been some interest in taking over the running of the business – with the present owner eager to ensure it goes to the perfect candidate.

He said: “We have had quite a few people getting in touch wanting to find out a bit more about it.
“I plan to give some support to whoever takes it on. That is important for everyone – including the staff and the customers.
“We are arranging meetings with people and at the moment it’s about finding the right person to carry the business forward.
“I would love to pass my baby on to someone who can love and nurture it as much as I have.”
