A day-long mental health workshop was held in Aberdeen yesterday to help struggling people talk about their problems.
Kyle Hill, who is from the city but now lives in Bali, left his life as a banker in 2009 amidst the financial crisis to improve his own mental well-being.
After travelling across the world, he has written two books, has a growing YouTube channel and is the founder of a self-help platform on the internet.
More than 40 people attended the workshop, which was hosted at the Jury Inn hotel in Union Square.
Organised on just five days notice, the workshop was made possible due to a donation from the city-based SEM energy firm.
Throughout the day, speakers used their collective experience to try and help those in attendance find more fulfilment in their own lives.
The day ranged from talks on how fitness and diet can affect people’s happiness to how helping others can increase self-esteem.
Mr Hill said: “The whole day was fantastic, we showed people it is OK to be themselves and hopefully helped them deal with anxiety and fear better.
“We were very lucky to be a part of the day, it was great to see so many people come together on such short notice.”
The days events were filmed in full and Mr Hill is looking to publish the content online.
