Aberdeen activists are calling on people to get behind a series of events raising awareness of climate change.
Climate Week North East will take the form of 10 days of events across the city and Aberdeenshire, running from March 20-29.
Designed to show people how they can reduce their carbon footprint and live in a way which helps the planet, the programme aims to provide knowledge and inspiration.
Alison Stuart, of the Aberdeen Climate Action campaign group said: “There are so many great initiatives taking place in the north-east that concentrate on really living sustainably.
“It is inspiring and heartening to see how everyone is coming together to create community ‘eco’ projects, grow our own food, repair and upcycle, walk and bike more, consume less and really promote a sustainable lifestyle.
“Climate Week is a great way of highlighting this and the actions we all can take. It shows that taking action can be fun, and demonstrates the real benefits of reducing our carbon emissions and living more sustainably.”
There will be a variety of events and workshops running over the course of the campaign.
People can choose between green family fun days, guided walks and bike rides, craft and upcycling workshops, talks and conferences.
There will also be the opportunity to make wild meadows or plant trees.
