The tenants of the Aberdeen-based Prime Four business park will be staging a charity football tournament in aid of Save the Children.

Alongside running the London Marathon in a bid to raise funds for the charity, Kayleigh Eagar, has brought together employees from a variety of firms to compete.

The 26-year-old said: “The support I’ve received from family, friends and colleagues has been overwhelming.”

After receiving a series of rejections from the London Marathon ballot, the Aberdeen resident, wanting to make a difference, entered on behalf of the global children’s charity.

She will lace up her trainers for the 26.2 mile run on April 26, but before that all the tenants of the prime four site will go head to head 5-a-side football tournament.

One of the businesses, CNOOC international, boasts its own onsite outdoor pitch which will play host to the tournament.

Kicking off on March 9, the Prime Four community will come together to raise awareness for Save the Children.

Each participant at the event will receive complimentary raffle ticket for the chance to win some great prizes such as a signed Aberdeen FC shirt, a training session with AFC children’s programme manager Liam McGarry, a  piece of signed Willie Miller metal wall art and a sports massage.

Ms Eagar is hoping the event will become an annual occurrence, with the event’s winners asked to choose the charity for the following year.
