Aberdeen University has condemned a “fake news” rumour being spread about coronavirus on its campus.
It is not known where the message originated, but it was brought to the organisation’s attention after being spotted circulating on social media.
A spokesman said: “The university has not been advised of any confirmed cases within our community at this time.”

Students and staff had been advised to only follow advice issued by national health authorities or by the university itself.
