It’s a momentous day for the north-east and Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance (SCAA).

2. It has responded to more than 270 road traffic accidents across Scotland
3. And more than 160 motorcycle accidents across the country in the past seven years
4. The air ambulance can transport a patient from Elgin to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary in 20 minutes – 83 minutes faster than road ambulance
