An Aberdeen-based crowdfunding group is hosting an online fundraiser to help support community projects around the city.
Aberdeen Soup, a regular crowdfunding night of music, food and community stories, launched in November 2016.
The group usually meets in Foodstory, with attendees choosing a cause to support.
The group had plans to host an event in May but will instead go live on Facebook at 7pm on Monday instead.
It is hoped that local residents, businesses and charities will come together and share their individual stories on how they have helped the Granite City during the world’s current health crisis.
Over the past four years, events run by Aberdeen Soup have raised more than £5,000 for grassroot organisations and charities.
Organisers have pledged that any money raised through the crowdfunding page will be distributed to local community projects across the city.
Elaine Cleary, of Aberdeen Soup, said: “Normally at our crowdfunded dinner people would donate when they attend and they would vote for who the money would go to.
“But we didn’t want people competing, so we hope to rally the community and be able to put money into local on-going projects.”
