Aberdeen Cyrenians has been tackling homelessness across the north-east for more than 50 years.
With £5,000 of new funding, they can boost their emergency delivery service AC2U, to ensure that vulnerable people living in Aberdeen can access vital supplies during the pandemic.
Already more than 40 businesses have donated food and more than 600 households also have got involved with the campaign.
They are also in the process of developing a new app to support those in need.
Community services lead at Aberdeen Cyrenians, Lynda Reid-Fowler, said the team was “delighted” to receive funding from the Response, Recovery and Resilience Fund.
She added: “For vulnerable people in this city – people in hunger, in danger, without a home and in dire need – this pandemic is life-threatening.
“This donation supports our work delivering emergency care packages of food, clothing, and other essential items, and helps people who are digitally excluded to access the online support they need so that no-one is left homeless, isolated, in danger and despair.
“We’re very grateful to all our supporters helping to make a difference to those in crisis.”
