A man has been taken to hospital after a small fire broke out at a high-rise flat in Seaton this afternoon.
Three fire engines were sent to the blaze at Northsea Court at around 12pm.
A spokeswoman for the fire service said it had started in the kitchen of the property and that crews had the situation under control around half an hour later.
She said: “The small fire in the kitchen was dealt with quickly after the removal of the heat source.”
It is understood that only small tools were required to help calm the blaze.
Police Scotland and Ambulance services were also sent to the scene to help the fire and rescue services at the property.
The ambulance service said that after receiving a call at 12.35pm, a 56-year-old man had been taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary (ARI).
He was conscious and breathing on their arrival.
A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said they were not treating the fire as suspicious.
