A man’s body was found in a wooded area in Aberdeen, police confirmed tonight.
The discovery was made near Grandholm Drive at 3pm.
Formal identification has yet to take place however the family of David MacLeod has been informed.
The 18-year-old medical student was last seen at about 1pm on Friday in Stafford Street, Aberdeen.
He left his flat to go for a walk but did not return, which was “out of character”, and his worried friends called the police.
A massive search has been under way since, involving police dogs, divers and a police helicopter.
